HMS Duke of York is a classic British King George V-class battleship that played a key role in the sinking of Scharnhorst during the Battle of the North Cape.

HMS Duke of York is a great all-rounder, featuring impressive firepower and armor. She boasts ten 356 mm guns with strong AP and HE shells, more than capable of pummelling enemy battleships into submission. Her anti-air array is also equally impressive, consisting of numerous close range guns and sixteen 133 mm cannons, which can easily bring down enemy aircraft thanks to their radio proximity fuses. Her key advantage however is her great survivability, with a thick armor belt and significant protection around the citadel and deck. Due to this survivability, HMS Duke of York is able to stay in the fight for longer than many contemporary ships, letting you outlast your opponents comfortably in long range combat. She also has a large number of crew manning the ship, keeping you in the fight for longer.

A great versatile battleship, HMS Duke of York is effective in every area, with great firepower, armor, and a well protected ammo rack.
